Software Developer - Savings & Investments

About the role

SEB is hiring a software developer for its international development team in the Savings & Investments tribe, based in Tallinn. The team builds securities processing solutions used across the Baltics and is modernising services around securities transactions, investments and custody. The position can be offered at junior to senior level depending on experience, and previous securities experience is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test secure solutions for securities and investment processing services.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to front-end development and system integrations where relevant.
• Modernise, refactor and maintain existing applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, business developers and technology colleagues throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional back-end focused software development experience, preferably with enterprise, integrated or business-critical systems.
• Fluency in English and the ability to collaborate in an international team.
• Curiosity, a continuous-improvement mindset and interest in both modern and established technologies.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot and API development.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Angular or other front-end experience is an advantage but not essential for a strong backend-focused candidate.
