Country Manager – Railway Infrastructure (Estonia)

About the role

Vossloh Group is looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader to take full operational, commercial and legal accountability for its business in Estonia. The role is based in Rakvere with regular on-site presence at the plant and travel as required, and reports to the Managing Director Baltics (Lithuania). It suits someone who can scale production capacity, processes and the workforce as major regional infrastructure projects such as Rail Baltica move into execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities and performance of the Estonian entity, delivering on the agreed budget, business plan and operational targets.
• Lead sales and business development in Estonia with the Regional Sales Director, building relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and local partnerships, and coordinate commercial offers and contract negotiations.
• Own HSE performance and culture, ensuring compliance with Group and local standards.
• Prepare the plant and site for volume growth linked to Rail Baltica, growing the local team from about 8 to around 30 people.
• Manage local projects from contract award through delivery with the Production Manager, on safety, quality, cost and schedule.
• Represent the company locally towards customers, partners and authorities, and coordinate local functions within the Group and VTT Europe priorities.

Required profile

• University degree in civil or mechanical engineering, industrial management or a related technical field; equivalent senior industrial leadership experience is also considered.
• Proven operational management and business development track record, able to run a small organisation hands-on.
• Strong commercial and customer orientation, with a good understanding of financial and business figures.
• Experience in railway, infrastructure, construction or precast concrete is a strong advantage.
• Native Estonian and fluent English are required; Russian or Lithuanian is an advantage.
