UX/UI Designer

About the role

WeTransfer, part of Bending Spoons, is hiring a UX/UI designer to shape high-leverage product experiences, from early concepts to polished delivery. You will work in a small, autonomous team, either directly on WeTransfer or on one of its other products, in Milan, London, Madrid or Warsaw. The contract is permanent or fixed-term, full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI tools to clarify intent, draft short specs and surface risks and edge cases before opening design tools.
• Prototype and build with AI: use Cursor and Claude Code to turn rough concepts into interactive prototypes and generate production-ready frontend code, moving fluidly between code and Figma.
• Co-create with product managers and engineers from day one, define UX requirements early, stay through QA and release, and make engineering-aware design decisions.
• Validate and measure designs by talking with customers, running quick tests and tracking funnels, retention and adoption.
• Prioritise backlog items that unlock business value and align stakeholders around them.

Required profile

• Ability to reason from first principles, solve complex problems and handle detail.
• Ambitious, driven and highly responsible, with strong team spirit.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.

What we offer

• Salary typically £85,797 in London and €66,065 elsewhere in Europe for candidates with limited experience; more for those with considerable experience, plus possible equity at a discount.
• Flexible hours, remote working from approved countries, and a relocation package.
• Health insurance, parental support, learning and training support, and a yearly retreat.
• For relocation to Italy, a 50% tax cut.

Candidates are expected to spend most days in the Milan office during the first few months, with travel and accommodation support. Applications go through the company's careers page, followed by one or more tests.
