Voice Recording Specialist (Russian, Estonia)

About the role

Appen is looking for independent contractors for Project Morava, which collects high-quality speech data from native speakers to help build more natural and intelligent voice AI systems. Participants read and record short, scripted prompts in Russian, which are used to train and evaluate speech recognition models.

Key responsibilities

• Record 200 short, scripted voice prompts in Russian using the Appen Mobile app on your smartphone
• Each prompt is a brief, natural spoken command; simply read it clearly and naturally
• Follow the recording guidelines so that the session passes the quality check

Required profile

• Fluent speaker of Russian
• Currently residing in Estonia
• 18 years of age or older
• Smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app

What we offer

• The whole task takes about 2 hours, including reviewing the guidelines
• Work on your own schedule, from anywhere in Estonia
• Record prompts on your smartphone via the Appen Mobile app
• Payment for completed 200-prompt sessions that pass quality check; payment is adjusted proportionally if fewer than 200 prompts are assigned

The project follows a first-come, first-served approach with demographic quotas, so some applicants may not receive an assignment.
