Junior Infrastructure Engineer (MS SQL)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on MS SQL to join our team at Swedbank. The position is a one‑year traineeship where you will work on enterprise‑scale database systems, learn from experienced SQL engineers and contribute to automation and standardisation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in projects that design, build and maintain MS SQL server environments.
• Assist in creating automation scripts and tools under guidance.
• Support the standardisation of database processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with a multinational team of SQL specialists.
• Contribute to on‑call rotation learning and service management activities.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of relational databases or related coursework.
• Familiarity with the Windows Server ecosystem.
• Interest in virtualization, application systems and public cloud services.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Motivation to learn across service design, development, testing and maintenance.
