Lead GTM Engineer, B4B

About the role

Bolt for Business (B4B) sells and services business accounts from SMBs to enterprise and strategic partners across 25+ markets in Europe, Africa and beyond. Parts of the sales funnel are already automated, but coverage is uneven and much of it still relies on rep time and manual processes. As Lead GTM Engineer you will take what works, extend it end to end and build an AI-native GTM engine so growth stops being linear in headcount. This is an engineer-first leadership role: you will architect and write code yourself, stay technical as the team grows, set direction and lead an existing team. You report to the VP of Bolt for Business and can be based in London, Lisbon or Tallinn.

Key responsibilities

• Own AI and automation end to end across the B4B commercial funnel (lead generation and enrichment, qualification and closing, onboarding, lifecycle management and retention).
• Audit what is already automated, decide what to keep, rebuild or retire, and build a prioritised 12-18 month roadmap tied to commercial outcomes such as pipeline per rep, cost per SQL, time-to-first-order, activation and retention.
• Design and ship production AI systems, including agentic workflows, LLM pipelines, evaluation harnesses and integrations across Salesforce, enrichment and sales-engagement tools, Looker and Databricks, staying hands-on in the codebase.
• Lead, retain and develop an existing team of AI/automation engineers and analytics, and hire as the mandate grows; set the technical bar on architecture, evaluation, monitoring and safe deployment.
• Work with sales leads and reps to drive adoption through change management, enablement and process redesign; instrument everything, run holdouts and A/B tests where feasible, and report impact honestly.
• Translate technical work into commercial language for market leads, Finance and leadership, and commercial problems into technical specs for the team.
• Own data quality, GDPR compliance for outbound and enrichment, EU AI Act readiness, and vendor and build-vs-buy decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping LLM-based systems that run in production (agents, tool use, RAG, structured extraction) and depend on others.
• Rigorous approach to evaluation and monitoring, with eval sets and systematic measurement of model output quality; experience with MLOps at scale, experimentation and causal inference (holdouts, incrementality) is a plus.
• Experience integrating AI systems into real-world business systems (CRM, data warehouse, third-party APIs) and building for heterogeneous markets.
• Demonstrated ownership of a GTM or revenue system (CRM architecture, sales engagement, enrichment, marketing automation) or clear evidence of learning a commercial domain fast, plus a track record of delivering measurable business results.
• Experience managing engineers directly, including performance conversations and retention.
• Excellent written and verbal English; awareness of GDPR and EU AI Act requirements is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands-on engineering depth (Python, APIs, SQL, workflow orchestration, cloud infrastructure), writing and reviewing production code.
• Plus: familiarity with Salesforce, Looker, Databricks, Outreach/Clay-type tooling or n8n, and additional languages relevant to the markets.
