Legal Counsel – Baltic Region

About the role

Join the IKEA Retail Baltic team as a Legal Counsel covering Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. You will provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice to a variety of internal stakeholders across the Baltic market.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, efficient legal advice on labour, commercial, real‑estate and retail matters.
• Advise stakeholders on legal and business risks and support decision‑making.
• Negotiate, draft and review local and pan‑Baltic contracts and agreements.
• Develop and implement internal policies, template agreements, checklists and other tools.
• Provide training and competence development for relevant business partners.
• Collaborate with the IKEA Baltic legal team to ensure alignment of country agendas.
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties such as regulators, external counsel and supervisory authorities.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as a lawyer or in‑house legal counsel.
• University degree in law.
• Fluent written and spoken English and excellent knowledge of Estonian.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and pragmatic business approach.
• Values aligned with IKEA, self‑motivated, responsible and resilient in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communicator, team player and able to build trustful relationships.
