Senior Backend Engineer – C#/.Net

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong C#/.Net expertise to join our fast‑growing FinTech product and tech organisation. The position is based in Tallinn (or Stockholm) with hybrid working conditions, contributing to flexible, customer‑friendly payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and ship robust, maintainable software, APIs and workflows.
• Initiate and communicate technical architecture designs within an agile, cross‑functional team.
• Participate in regular scrum ceremonies and collaborate on business requirement analysis.
• Document systems and components while applying industry standards and best practices.
• Help shape engineering culture by providing feedback on organisational and technical standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with C# and the .NET framework.
• Proven track record delivering cloud‑native applications, preferably on Azure.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and ORMs such as Entity Framework.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Fluent English and EU citizenship or a valid German work permit.
