Senior Product Engineer

About the role

Bondora, a financial technology company founded in 2008 that has helped more than 700,000 customers across Europe borrow and invest, is looking for a Senior Product Engineer. You will help solve customer problems from ideation to results in a product-driven culture where you make your own product decisions and focus on solution quality. The role is hybrid and requires living in Tallinn or Tartu, Estonia.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex customer problems as part of the product team.
• Deliver initiatives from conception to meaningful results.
• Build, scale and run resilient production systems.
• Suggest continuous improvements to speed of delivery and learning through processes, tooling and teamwork.
• Maintain high code quality and architecture suited to the business so the team does not slow down later.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background and hands-on experience in .NET, C#, Java or another strongly typed backend stack.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies, preferably React.
• Previous experience in a fast-growing product company.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product and business.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• .NET, C# or Java; bonus for Azure, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Distributed system design.
• Relevant domain knowledge (finance, credit, banking, insurance).
