DevOps Engineer – Core Platform

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Engineering Core Platform Department at Luminor Group in Tallinn. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that powers our critical banking services, ensuring reliability, security and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure, scalable and resilient AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage cloud networking, security, monitoring, backup and disaster‑recovery capabilities.
• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform and Terragrunt modules for multi‑environment deployments.
• Administer and optimise Linux (RHEL) environments, driving automation and efficiency.
• Operate and enhance monitoring, observability and alerting solutions, creating actionable dashboards.
• Support incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reviews to improve platform stability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior DevOps, Platform Operations or Infrastructure Engineering role supporting large‑scale, business‑critical systems.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Amazon Web Services (EC2, VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM, load balancing, etc.).
• Extensive experience with Terraform and Terragrunt, including reusable modules and multi‑environment composition.
• Experience with configuration‑management tools (Chef preferred; Ansible, Puppet or SaltStack acceptable).
• Solid background administering Linux, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
