Engineering Manager - Revenue Management Azure
DoiT · Remote Estonia
Job description
About the role
DoiT is looking for an Engineering Manager for its Revenue Management Azure house, which sits inside the global R&D team. The role is remote and open to candidates in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden and Israel. It is a hands-on, player-coach position: you take part in daily standups, code reviews, architectural calls and delivery planning, and you own both the team's output and its growth.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, own its delivery and development, and foster continuous improvement through fast iterations
- Care for team members' well-being and career, using regular 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews and candid feedback
- Build the next layer of leadership: tech leads, senior engineers and ICs ready for staff roles
- Write and review code, and drive architectural and technical design decisions with senior ICs
- Maintain engineering standards through pull-request review and a healthy release process, and lead an AI-augmented team
- Own the team's commitments, run a disciplined planning and delivery cadence, and partner with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on scope, sequencing and trade-offs
- Own hiring, interview thoughtfully and recruit to the team's standard
- Communicate clearly upwards, empower senior engineers downwards, and partner with Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success and others sideways
Required profile
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management roles with active coding
- Experience building cloud-based SaaS products, running services in production on Azure (ideally also AWS/GCP) and owning availability, cost and the customer-facing surface
- Strong background in FinOps and in managing multi-disciplinary teams including full-stack and data engineers
- Proven track record of transforming an engineering team, with measurable gains in delivery velocity, quality or team caliber
- Deep fluency in the team's stack, able to read, write and review code at a senior level
- Clear philosophy on hiring, coaching, performance management and technical decisions, with excellent judgment under pressure
Required skills
- Azure (and ideally AWS/GCP)
- API-first product mindset
- Bonus: Golang, an established AI-augmented workflow, and experience scaling teams or systems
What we offer
- Unlimited vacation and flexible working options
- Health insurance, parental leave and home office allowance
- Employee stock option plan and professional development stipend
- Peer recognition program
