About the role
Wise is seeking a senior leader to define and execute the quality assurance strategy for its sanctions domain. You will ensure the accuracy and reliability of QA outcomes while fostering a culture of risk management across the team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing QA team, managing succession planning for senior leads.
- Own delivery against KPIs and objectives for the Sanctions QA area, driving process improvements and refining SOPs.
- Act as subject‑matter expert on sanctions policy, validate complex case outcomes and support audit activities.
- Design and maintain the QA strategy, including sampling methodology, test scripts and scorecards.
- Manage forecast demand, capacity planning and ensure consistent achievement of SLAs.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders and translate QA data into actionable business insights.
Required profile
- 4+ years of leadership experience in operations or compliance, with at least 2 years managing a team of 20‑40 people.
- 3+ years of hands‑on sanctions experience within the financial services sector.
- Advanced knowledge of sanctions laws, regulations and global financial‑services frameworks.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data to drive continuous improvement.
- Proactive champion of AI and technology adoption in compliance processes.
