Senior Accountant, Flight Sales Accounting

About the role

Finnair Business Services Ltd, part of the Finnair Group, offers financial, digital and customer support services to group companies. It is looking for a Senior Accountant for its Order to Cash team in Tartu, Estonia. The role combines hands-on accounting work with team coordination and process development, supporting the team's daily operations, guiding colleagues and driving continuous improvement while meeting financial reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the daily work of the Flight Sales Accounting team
• Guide team members in resolving accounting exceptions and operational issues
• Take part in month-end closing and ensure reporting tasks are completed on time
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for stakeholders
• Monitor workflow and support resource planning together with the Team Lead
• Mentor new colleagues and share knowledge within the team
• Review, update and develop work instructions and process documentation
• Contribute to process improvements and take part in development projects for flight sales accounting and finance operations

Required profile

• Experience in accounting, finance or a related field
• Vocational qualification or Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics or a similar discipline
• Attention to detail and a structured way of working
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting, coaching or guiding colleagues
• Fluent written and spoken English; Finnish is an advantage
