Senior Accountant - Railway Infrastructure Project

About the role

COBELEC, an international infrastructure company involved in the Rail Baltica railway project, is hiring a Senior Accountant for its Tallinn entity. The role manages the end-to-end accounting operations of the local entity, ensuring general ledger integrity, accurate period-end closings, tax compliance and clear financial reporting, working closely with internal stakeholders and coordinating with local advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle: bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations and general ledger accuracy
• Prepare monthly and period-end closings, balance sheets and supporting documentation
• Maintain proper financial records and document management
• Support and coordinate tax compliance activities such as VAT and related filings
• Liaise with local advisors on payroll and social security processes
• Contribute to process improvements, especially in an international, multi-site environment

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or engineering companies
• English and Estonian at B2 level, spoken and written
• Proven experience in the full accounting cycle, including closing management

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with ERP systems
