Tax Technology Manager

Job description
About the role
Bolt is looking for an experienced Tax Technology Manager to join its growing tax team, which gives strategic and hands-on tax support across more than 50 countries. The role works closely with Tax, Finance, Commerce, Engineering and other teams so that systems and tools support business goals while keeping tax compliance across jurisdictions. It drives the transformation of tax processes through technology and automation, turning complex tax and reporting requirements into practical, well-governed systems.
Key responsibilities
- Improve, standardise and automate tax processes to reduce manual work, strengthen controls, improve data quality and increase efficiency.
- Support compliance with digital tax reporting, billing and similar requirements, including e-invoicing, fiscalisation and SAF-T, by implementing fit-for-purpose solutions with internal teams and external partners.
- Map tax processes and data flows, identify gaps or inefficiencies and support controls and improvements that strengthen tax risk management and governance.
- Partner with Tax, Finance, Commerce, Engineering and other teams to align on priorities and deliver practical process and technology improvements.
- Help scale the tax function across Bolt's growing international footprint through well-governed systems, automation and process improvements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in tax technology, tax operations, tax transformation or a related field, ideally in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Solid understanding of core tax processes, including VAT/GST and related data flows; exposure to direct taxes, transfer pricing, Pillar Two or digital platform reporting is a plus.
- Proven experience improving end-to-end processes and driving scalable improvements.
- Strong project management skills, good understanding of accounting fundamentals and IT terminology, and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Hands-on experience with tax engines, ERP systems, workflow or project management tools and data transformation tools.
- Experience with analytics or visualisation tools is an advantage.
What we offer
- A competitive salary and stock options.
- Wellness perks and a 1-month paid sabbatical after 5 years.
- Hybrid model with at least 12 monthly in-office days.
- Annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
