Senior Compliance Officer – Remote (EU)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to lead and enhance our AML/KYC compliance function across multiple jurisdictions. The role is fully remote and will support Juuli’s fintech platform serving solopreneurs and small businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve AML/KYC/KYB processes, including transaction monitoring and suspicious activity detection.
• Review and approve high‑risk or escalated customer cases in collaboration with our KYC provider.
• Respond to law‑enforcement and regulator data requests promptly and compliantly.
• Support regulatory licensing efforts by preparing documentation and ensuring process readiness for new jurisdictions.
• Review external communications (marketing, press releases, major announcements) for regulatory compliance before publication.
• Maintain and update internal compliance policies in line with evolving EU/UK financial regulations.
• Collaborate with product, operations and growth teams to embed compliance into new features and campaigns.

Required profile

• Previous experience at an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) or Payment Institution (PI).
• Solid background in AML/KYC compliance within fintech, payments or banking.
• Experience working within EU regulatory frameworks and familiarity with AMLD/AMLR, PSD2/PSD3, EMI/PI licensing requirements.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Self‑discipline for remote work and availability during 10:00–17:00 CET.
