Internship – Technology, Research and Digital Governance

About the role

The Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS) welcomes internship applications from students interested in technology, research and digital governance. The internship offers practical experience within an international team working on a secure, interoperable digital infrastructure that supports public services across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analysis: investigate topics related to interoperability, cybersecurity, secure data exchange or digital governance
• Software development: contribute to the development, testing or documentation of solutions such as X-Road and Harmony eDelivery Access
• Technology and policy: explore how emerging technologies, standards and governance practices can improve digital public services

Required profile

• Student in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, digital governance, public policy or a related field
• Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn
• Interest in how digital solutions serve governments, organisations and people
