Senior Analytics Engineer (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Bolt is a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries. Its platform runs on data, and Analytics Engineers build the pipelines, models and data products that power product analysts and decision-makers. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering a maternity leave.

Key responsibilities

• Work with product analysts and stakeholders to prioritise analytics engineering roadmaps aligned with long-term business needs.
• Build, expand and maintain reusable data models and metrics in dbt.
• Set up and manage the architecture, documentation and key data transformations for in-house and third-party data.
• Improve the efficiency of product analysts through data products, processes, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Develop strategic data products such as a segmentation feature store or interactive metrics trees.
• Follow system design and architectural best practices and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data integrity and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, Business or similar.
• Significant experience with data modelling and analytics architectures for large volumes of data, with tangible impact.
• Excellent knowledge of system design and architectural best practices, focused on reusability, maintainability, reliability and scalability.
• Strong cross-functional collaborator with good business sense and excellent verbal and written English.

Required skills

• SQL, Python and Spark
• Data modelling tools such as dbt
• Orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
• Previous exposure to BI tools such as Looker or Tableau is an advantage
