Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d)

About the role

Upvest is a fintech that helps businesses offer investment products and provides an investment API used by fintechs and financial institutions such as DKB, Revolut, N26 and Raisin. Its hubs are in Berlin, London and Tallinn, and it is open to hiring remotely from Europe and the United Kingdom. The role sits in a true product team with a large ownership scope.

Key responsibilities

• Work with cutting-edge technologies (Go is the primary language; switching from another language is acceptable) without a legacy codebase.
• Improve the reliability of the API.
• Deliver fast and often, following an agile methodology with a retrospective and a demo at the end of each two-week cycle.
• Design, build and own event-driven, fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable distributed systems using a microservices architecture.

Required profile

• Experience with investment products or the fintech domain in general.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, event streaming and event sourcing systems.
• Experience operating services in a decoupled, event-driven system with modern observability tooling (monitoring and tracing).
• Interest in fintech, customer focus, teamwork, eagerness to learn and quick growth.
