Tour Leader for Small Group Trips (English & French)

About the role

Teekonda is looking for a bilingual Tour Leader to guide small international groups on curated journeys worldwide. You will be the face of the company on the road, ensuring each itinerary becomes an unforgettable shared adventure while maintaining safety, comfort, and a positive group atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Lead groups from arrival to departure, acting as the main point of contact for travellers.
• Facilitate welcome briefings, daily briefings, and debriefs, clearly communicating plans, timings, cultural norms, and practical information.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day logistics such as transfers, check‑ins, activity timings, meeting points, tickets, and reservations.
• Liaise with local partners (drivers, guides, hotels, restaurants, activity providers) and ensure service quality.
• Monitor group safety and well‑being, manage incidents and emergencies according to Teekonda procedures.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful group atmosphere and encourage participation.
• Provide cultural insights, local tips, and informal tours where permitted.
• Support travellers during free time with suggestions, bookings, and navigation.
• Adapt plans to weather, delays, or local changes and mediate minor conflicts.
• Maintain communication with Teekonda’s operations team, reporting issues, incidents, and feedback.
• Handle basic trip administration such as headcounts, confirmations, expense tracking, and feedback collection.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Group Leader, Trip Leader, Tour Leader, or similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics, coordinate people, resolve issues, and keep to schedules.
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written), minimum C1 level.
• Native‑speaker level French.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, confident speaking in front of groups, approachable, empathetic, and trustworthy.
• High cultural awareness and sensitivity when interacting with local communities.
