Accounting Specialist - Shared Service Centre

About the role

Prysmian is looking for finance professionals for its Shared Service Centre in Estonia, which supports internal clients in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The role covers accounts payable, cash application, VAT declarations, accruals and treasury-related cash management, with close coordination with the outsourcer.

Key responsibilities

• Build good working relationships with assigned internal clients and deliver quality customer service in line with the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Oversee and coordinate accounts payable from order to payment, and prepare month-end cost center accruals and prepaid expenses with the controlling department
• Prepare VAT declarations and coordinate the cash application process with the outsourcer
• Supervise administrative activities leading to trial balance preparation and maintain accurate data in relevant systems
• Oversee accounting treasury processes for cash management and foreign exchange derivatives, and propose hedging contracts to Treasury in coordination with Controlling
• Support coordination with external and internal auditors so statutory deadlines are met
• Take part in improving the PTP process and cash application, and help implement changes while managing complaints

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in multinational companies; experience in a shared service centre with Scandinavian subsidiaries is preferred
• Fluent English and preferably at least one additional European language such as Danish or Norwegian
• Ability to handle complexity in an international environment, analytical and reporting skills, and a process-driven mindset

• Knowledge of different currencies and currency derivatives
• General ledger mechanism
• SAP and Excel proficiency
