Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

pawaTech, an iGaming solutions provider behind betPawa, is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist with a strong security background and a proactive mindset. You will help strengthen the security of its systems, products and processes, from writing security policies and reviewing architecture to monitoring threats, coordinating security testing and supporting incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review and update cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures in line with standards and regulations
• Review project documentation, architecture and development practices for security compliance
• Monitor and analyse threats, vulnerabilities and incidents, and track remediation
• Run security assessments, control testing and risk analysis
• Work with IT, infrastructure, cloud and business teams and recommend practical fixes for security gaps
• Manage cybersecurity awareness initiatives and communicate best practices
• Assess third-party tools and services for security risks
• Coordinate external penetration tests and track risks through remediation
• Support the SOC with incident investigations, evidence preservation, response and recovery
• Tune security monitoring alerts and rules to reduce false positives
• Take part in an on-call rotation when required

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security, preferably in a regulated industry
• Proactive, independent and able to take initiative with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams and on an on-call rotation

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection and cloud security tools
• Understanding of cybersecurity risks and controls
• Nice to have: experience in insurance, banking, FinTech or iGaming; ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST CSF, ISO 42001 or EU Cybersecurity Act; CC/CISSP, CEH or Security+; relevant degree
