Systems Engineer (Enterprise Applications Support)

About the role

PSI, a Contract Research Organization with 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for a knowledgeable, proactive and self-motivated Systems Engineer to join its Systems Development team. The role provides technical support for enterprise applications, troubleshoots application issues and takes part in testing and implementation activities. It is a full-time position based in Estonia.

Key responsibilities

• Support off-the-shelf software packages (Tier 2 and Tier 3).
• Install Tier 3 and some Tier 4 information systems and carry out user training.
• Install and support specialised systems such as special warehouse systems.
• Monitor software updates and releases and recommend migration or purchase of new software.
• Study the validation status of CFR 21 Part 11 applicable to information systems.
• Review client-provided IT equipment, give user training and support.
• Carry out regular technical audits of departments to check compliance with PSI standards on equipment use and Tier 3-4 systems.

Required profile

• University or college degree in Computer Science or IT.
• Solid technical background and experience supporting business applications, software platforms or enterprise systems.
• Prior systems analysis experience is a plus.
• Experience in systems development and systems validation is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and analytical skills, and a service-oriented, customer-focused approach.

Required skills

• Experience with Jira Service Desk and Confluence or similar tools is a plus.
• Creating SQL queries is a plus.
• Testing experience (test cases and test script execution) is a plus.
