About the role

Join Luminor as a Data Engineer focused on Core Banking and Data Transformation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and engineers to turn complex banking data into trusted, business‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop reliable data transformations and pipelines supporting banking, finance, reporting, and analytics.
  • Analyze data end‑to‑end from core banking source systems through transformations to downstream consumers.
  • Translate business requirements into data mappings, transformation rules, reconciliation logic, and technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Investigate complex data issues across source systems, warehouses, and reporting environments.
  • Own the full engineering lifecycle from analysis and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.

Required profile

  • Strong SQL and Python skills with experience in relational databases, data modelling, and data warehousing.
  • Good understanding of core banking data such as accounts, transactions, balances, GL/accounting, and reporting.
  • Hands‑on experience building data transformations on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices.
  • Ability to analyse data flows, dependencies, and business meaning.

  • Gross salary €3,540‑€5,320 per month, based on experience.
  • Flexible working hours, hybrid model and the possibility to work from anywhere in the EU, Iceland, Switzerland or the UK (up to 90 days per year).
