Internal IT Engineer

About the role

DefSecIntel Solutions, a defence and security company based in Tallinn, Estonia, is looking for an Internal IT Engineer to build and maintain secure, reliable and scalable internal IT operations. The role improves endpoint and identity management, automates key workflows and ensures teams have the systems and support they need while meeting security and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and improve the endpoint environment: device configuration, MDM, patching, encryption, vulnerability management and secure device posture.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions and the full access lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Manage the lifecycle of internal applications and SaaS services, from implementation through maintenance to deprecation.
• Own the hardware lifecycle: inventory tracking, procurement, device management and secure decommissioning.
• Automate repetitive tasks such as onboarding and offboarding.
• Configure and improve the Microsoft environment, initially focusing on Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
• Support day-to-day IT troubleshooting and create runbooks, documentation and IT processes.
• Support IT audits and compliance, including ISO-related requirements.

Required profile

• Around 2-3+ years of experience in IT operations in a modern SaaS or technology environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with device lifecycle management, MDM, encryption and device security.
• Experience administering IAM systems, SaaS tools, collaboration platforms, service desk workflows and access reviews.
• Practical understanding of joiner-mover-leaver processes, least privilege, role-based access, vendor access and audit evidence.
• Good judgment balancing security, operational risk, employee experience, cost and maintainability.
• Clear documentation habits and strong written and spoken English.

• Nice to have: ISO 27001, scripting and automation, ITIL or lightweight ITSM, startup or public-company IT operations experience
