KYC Operations Team Lead – Deactivations

About the role

Wise is building a new network for the world’s money and needs a strong leader to shape its newly created Deactivations team. As the KYC Operations Team Lead you will design processes, guide senior analysts and ensure every decision meets the highest regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of KYC analysts, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, process improvements and tools for the Deactivations function.
• Provide expert guidance on complex, high‑risk KYC cases and act as escalation point for customers.
• Measure team KPIs, manage performance targets and drive operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with central functions and other operational teams to align on compliance objectives.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in KYC, financial crime or compliance environments.
• Track record of building and scaling specialist investigative teams.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and make accurate, compliant decisions.
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and mentor talent.
