AI-Driven Software Engineer

About the role

Nortal combines modern cloud engineering with agentic AI-driven development practices such as Spec-Driven Development and Agentic Swarm Coding, aiming to build better software faster. It is looking for an AI-Driven Software Engineer who enjoys hands-on development, experimenting with new tools and methods, and working at the edge of what AI can do in software engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-native applications, APIs and integrations, from fast-paced AI prototypes to long-term production platforms.
• Apply AI-driven development practices such as Spec-Driven Development and Agentic Swarm Coding in real client projects.
• Work hands-on with modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot and emerging agentic tooling.
• Contribute to redefining software development ways of working, not just following existing ones.
• Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams, from design to production.

Required profile

• Strong hands-on programming skills in Java.
• Solid experience building cloud-native applications, APIs and integrations.
• Practical understanding of how AI can improve software development workflows, having implemented or experimented with it.
• Curiosity and willingness to adopt new development paradigms.
• Strong communication skills in Estonian and English.
