Full Stack Java Developer

About the role

Askend, a digital transformation partner for public and private sector organisations in Estonia, is looking for Full-Stack Java Developers to join its team in Tallinn or Tartu. The company builds secure, scalable digital services and information systems, from e-government and healthcare to energy and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable full-stack applications and business-critical software using modern technologies
• Translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Design and develop REST APIs and integrations between information systems
• Collaborate with analysts, QA engineers, developers, architects and clients throughout the development lifecycle
• Contribute to code reviews and continuously improve engineering practices

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience as a developer
• Proactive, solution-oriented and eager to learn and grow
• Team player who cares about clients, colleagues and delivery quality
• Fluent in Estonian and comfortable communicating in English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Java and Spring Boot
• Kubernetes
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• A frontend framework such as Angular, React or Vue
