Product Line Purchasing Manager

About the role

Stoneridge is seeking a Product Line Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities for a specific product line within its automotive and commercial‑vehicle business. The role will support new product introductions, cost‑reduction programs and the full product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with engineering, project and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement project plans for new product launches, cost‑reduction initiatives and supplier escalations.
• Lead material cost‑reduction initiatives (MCIP) and drive BOM cost improvements to meet profitability targets.
• Manage procurement activities throughout the product lifecycle, including PPAP readiness, capacity planning, risk mitigation and execution.
• Track, report and present program status, procurement performance and launch readiness to internal and customer reviews.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Procurement, Product Line Management and Project Management, facilitating clear communication across cross‑functional teams.
• Develop commodity strategies, sourcing road‑maps and VA/VE projects to support long‑term growth and forecasted demand.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in new product launches, material cost‑reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations and supplier development.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional projects and deliver results in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
